OpTic Gaming, affectionately abbreviated OpTic, is an American eSports organization that made its debut in 2006 under the leadership of its two founders Ryan "OpTic J" Musselman and "OpTic KR3W". The eSport brand that pays

If OpTic Gaming is so well known to the general public, it is because by evolving in no less than six different scenes, the eSport structure now chaired by Hector Rodriguez has allowed to promote the video games in which it tries to perform. Thus, OpTic Gaming is typically a Call of Duty team (it must be said that OpTic Gaming has won twice in the finals of the X Games editions 2014 and 2015). In addition, OpTic Gaming was also voted eSports Team of the Year at the 2015 Games Awards.

Given the popularity of OpTic Gaming, it was only natural that sponsors would come forward. Thus, OpTic Gaming is sponsored by the biggest industrial brands such as Nissan, Game Shop, MTN DEW GAME FUEL, Turtle Beach or Scuf Gaming. Immortals Gaming Club buyout: what will change

In the next few months, OpTic Gaming will change hands, which is inevitable when an eSport team meets with unprecedented success. Indeed, the competitive video game scene is also subject to the law of the strongest (or the richest). A strong brand in the international eSports landscape thanks to its multiple exploits on Call of Duty, the "OpTic H3CZ" club has been acquired by Immortals Gaming Club, a North American organization that has the support of big names in the world of sports, business and entertainment. It's worth noting that Immortals Gaming Club is now involved in the same games as OpTic Gaming, including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Call of Duty, with the latter giving rise to a closed international league as early as 2020. The objective for Immortals Gaming Club is to keep its identity while rallying OpTic Gaming fans to its cause.

Note that this takeover also means revenge for Immortals Gaming Club, the group having deserted the highest North American level on League of Legends since 2017 and the introduction of a franchise system - at the time, unlike that of Optic Gaming, Immortals Gaming Club's application had not been selected. The Immortals have already sacked the coach of OpTic Gaming's former League of Legends team, Frenchman Thomas Si-Hassen. Even worse, they've parted ways with the Houston Outlaws, the Overwatch eSport team of the multinational Infinite Esports. As for OpTic's Counter-Strike team, it too has been orphaned.

The transaction, probably one of the most exceptional in the short history of eSports, allows Immortals Gaming Club to acquire a powerful brand... without forgetting the important debts linked to the huge costs of franchises. But the entire transaction was worth over $100 million! Hopefully, OpTic Gaming fans will embrace this new project and mourn the loss of their beloved e-athletes.
